Thanksgiving needs a bbq sauce and this is it! Video instructions below:
Smoked turkey, pork loin, and pulled pork are all acceptable options for Thanksgiving and this cranberry barbecue sauce will boost the holiday flavor. The mustard is subtle and I suppose optional but it really makes the flavor pop! Use it for the main dish or more importantly, the next day’s Thanksgiving sandwich.
1.5 cans cranberry sauce
1/4 cup water (add 1 tablespoon at a time slowly to thin the sauce)
1/2 white onion diced
1/2 cup brown sugar
⅔ cup apple cider vinegar
⅔ cup ketchup
2 Tablespoons dijon mustard optional
2 cloves garlic minced
1 tablespoon Razzle Dazzle
Heat the saucepan over medium heat. Sauté onion until translucent, add garlic and cook 1 min more. Add all remaking ingredients except water.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes until the sauce is thick. Optional, use water to thin the sauce. Optional, blend with an immersion blender until smooth. Set aside and let cool.
Store in the fridge in a mason jar for up to 2 weeks.
